Quiet Mornings, Lasting Lessons: What I Learned From My Father

Quiet Mornings, Lasting Lessons: What I Learned From My Father

We will return to the Gender Pay Gap and other topics soon but today is about dad.

Our family is dispersed around the world. It has its pros and cons. Big one is we don't get to see each other often unless someone crosses the seas!

So, for the last few days since arriving in Verona dad and I had a bit of a morning routine going...which has been making our way through the cobbled streets into the main square and treating ourselves to a Brioche and Coffee ☕

He will be 87 this year. Still sharp as a tack. Very well read about everything that's going on in the world. Fiercely dedicated to the underprivileged and still serving them.

CINI - Child In Need Institute, the Not for Profit he founded, has impacted the lives of more than 50 million children, adolescents and women over the last 50 years!

We chatted about so many things over our coffees as we watched the world go by in front of us.

Most of it was about what's happening in the world around us and its impact on the lives of the poor, underprivileged, and those without status or connections or disposable resources.

His values of love, respect, service, courage, dreaming big and continuing to do your part every day no matter what the odds have deeply influenced me and many others.

Love you Papaji! ❤️

Who shaped your values?

Sometimes the best leadership lessons are brewed over a quiet coffee with someone who’s walked a longer road. ☕
